I am writing on behalf of DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. At the time you left your employment with DENSO, you were overpaid on your last paycheck by $81.96. By way of this letter, I am requesting that you tender that amount to the attention of the payroll department at DENSO within 15 days from the date of this letter. If, for any reason, you feel that DENSO is incorrect as to the amount that you owe, please contact K--- W---- directly. If you cannot pay this amount in full, please make payment arrangements through Misty, within the allotted time, in order to avoid a process that could ultimately make a referral to collection.
Thank you for your cooperation and attention to this matter.
Sincerely,

To (Senior Manager) B---- G-----,
Please be aware that Kevin Perkins HAS NOT yet received any paperwork stating his termination of employment with DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. Be aware that Prudential has notified Kevin Perkins regarding his 401k benefits and that he is still unable to move his assets from the 401k with DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. to an individual IRA account because DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. has not yet taken Kevin Perkins out of their system and database of employment. So, as far as Prudential is concerned, along with Kevin Perkins, he is still an employee with DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. Any type of paperwork what so ever, with benefit options, have also not yet been received by Kevin Perkins to date. The last paycheck Kevin Perkins worked for was never sent, therefore never received, to date. DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. hasn’t shown a last paycheck or stub stating that he was overpaid in any way shape or form. The last paycheck that Kevin Perkins received was 2 weeks before his date of termination. Knowing that DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. holds a paycheck 2 weeks back makes it very clear that he was owed 1 more paycheck after his date of termination. Even if he “owed back money”, he has never received his last statement from DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. proving so.
So, paperwork stating termination and benefit continuance options along with an explanation and proof showing money owed will be needed before this notice is paid attention to any further. We are still waiting for EVERYTHING and ANYTHING from DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc.
When Kevin Perkins gave his notice, he was promised an exit interview, which did not happen. Now whether it is policy for someone to have an exit interview when leaving the company or not is beside the point. Kevin Perkins was an employee with DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. for 12 years and this showed a lack of care for any of their employees. It’s a shame that Kevin Perkins sat alone in a back office for 2 hours while nobody came in and showed face at all. Kevin Perkins was just another number to DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. just like every other employee there.
Now, besides all of this, Kevin Perkins was employed (as before mentioned) for 12 years. In this time, Kevin Perkins worked over his normally scheduled hours and was NOT compensated. 10 minutes here and 15 minutes there adds up over the years. Kevin Perkins never brought it up before because it wasn’t much of a factor. Now that this matter of $81.96 has been brought to attention, it turns out that those 10 minutes here and there are a very BIG factor. Since Kevin Perkins has not received anything aforementioned, Kevin Perkins feels the need to be compensated for this time lost and not accounted for on paychecks received.
I’m sure once you have gone through the 12 years of Kevin Perkins’ history with DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc., you will find that in fact it is DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. that owes Kevin Perkins money. Kevin Perkins also took 3 days of bereavement when his mother died and was NEVER paid for those days in which DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. is supposed to cover. So please, before any other letters are sent to Kevin Perkins, cover all bases and go through the 12 years history of employment and account for every minute worked over and not paid for.
As you will be able to see with every evaluation Kevin Perkins ever received, Kevin Perkins was a very hard working employee and one of the best workers DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. has ever had the privilege to employ. So, the minutes clocked in before and after regular working hours were actually being worked.
DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. has already saved money by sending Kevin Perkins to first shift from third shift ONE WEEK before the End Of The Year Bonuses. Kevin Perkins was not needed on first shift so bad that DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. could not wait ONE WEEK to send him. This cost Kevin Perkins over $200.00 in shift premium when this transfer took place. It was NOT a “company need” move; it was a COMPANY SAVE move at the cost of the employee.
So, in the end, you have a lot of homework to do and account for every penny (besides getting the appropriate paperwork together to send) before you bother Kevin Perkins with a nonsensical letter again. I’m sorry you have to be as petty as this and go after employees and former employees like you are.
Maybe if DENSO Manufacturing would figure out once and for all how to stop wasting money on senseless items and replacing items that work just fine, with items that are quite unnecessary AND overcharging DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. employees for ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING in the company store AND overpriced lunches that you can get anywhere else for at least a couple of dollars cheaper. DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. has no REAL concept of social matters and company needs. DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. only knows spur of the minute decision-making and has a very narrow viewing field of the realistic future ahead.
I hope you can understand where I am coming from and you do what is asked. If you do not comply, you will be hearing from us again and again. Copies of everything from the last 12 years would be very much appreciated and is very necessary before this discussion can go any further.
Remember, account for every minute of time.
Sincerely,
Kevin Perkins
(I have not heard a thing back from them since.)
